After starting with a T2 finish at the PC Financial Open at Point Grey Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, Eugene Wong continued his steady play throughout the 2014 season on PGA TOUR Canada. Eugene finished with a total of 7 top-20 finishes including 2 top-10’s; impressive numbers considering there are only 11 tournaments on PGA TOUR Canada’s schedule. His steady play throughout the year allowed Eugene to finish 18th on PGA TOUR Canada’s Order of Merit. By finishing inside the top-20 on the Order of Merit, Eugene was rewarded with a direct-route to the Web.com Tour’s 2nd Stage Q-School where he will compete at Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta, California, November 18-21, with the opportunity to move on to the Final Stage Q-School in December in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

In addition to his strong season on PGA TOUR Canada in 2014, Eugene also added to his tournament mettle with another start in the RBC Canadian Open and his first start on the Web.com Tour at the inaugural Nova Scotia Open where he finished T46. More recently, Eugene won the Vancouver Golf Tour’s Tour Championship this past weekend (see photo) with a sizzling final round 65 at Swan-e-Set in Pitt Meadows, BC.

With the win at Swan-e-Set, Eugene heads into his Q-School preparation at his home course, Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club, full of energy and confidence and is looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead.
